On-Page Factors

On-Page Optimization involves the Search Engine Optimization for on-site factors.

The following are the parts of a website that you can optimize for greater search engine visibility.

1. Title Tags - Title tags are the titles that are found on the top of the browser. The title tags should contain keywords and should not contain more than 65 characters.

2. Meta Tags - Meta tags are said to have no effect on SEO anymore. But when a user sees your website in the search engines, there is a higher chance that it will be converted to traffic when your site has a good meta description.

3. Heading Tags - According to a majority of search engine professionals, at least one h1 tag should be placed on one of your keywords for the search engine spider to prioritize that specific keyphrase on your page.

4. Keyword Rich Content - Content should contain at least 300 words and must have up to 5% keyword density. Your keywords should not be so many though, as you are risking your site getting banned.

5. Proper Sitemap - You should have a sitemap or like what I did on this site, all links are accesible from any page.

6. Proper Linking - Proper linking involves checking each link if they are connected to the right page. Sometimes, the smallest mistakes can cause 404 errors in a site, so your code must be properly analyzed for possible dead links
